So I guess I really do not have anything important or strikingly relevant to say, but here's what I have. I've always been interested in art mainly because it runs in my family and is a focus of my mother's. She is a very talented artist. But what inspired me to actually sit down and grab a drawing utensil was this game called "Alice" from American McGee. I have an uncontrollable fascination with Lewis Carrol's "Alice's Adventures In Wonderland" and "Through The Looking Glass And What Alice Found There". While he may have set out to write a book to attract a younger audience, those after him have frequently warped and twisted his worlds to underline a darker, more surreal depiction of the text. I took those ideas, like many before me, and many to come after me, and implemented them into a style of art I can call my own. And so is the history of how my art came to be and what inspired me
